The Spanish Minister for Science and Innovation, Cristina Garmendia, has confirmed that in 2012 Barcelona will be host to one of the PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) supercomputers, aimed at creating an infrastructure for high performance computing, and for which Spain will invest 100 million euros.
