Train Collision in Barcelona

Spain’s rail authority says a commuter train collided underground with an empty long-distance train in Barcelona today.
RENFE said two carriages of a commuter train carrying 70 passengers derailed after colliding with the other train, which was stationary. Sixteen people were treated in nearby medical centres, mostly for bruises, among the injured were two infants, aged seven and 18 months.
They report the accident as having occurred at approximately 9:50am (0750 GMT) when a long-distance connection train collided with a train commuting to the coastal village of Matara, as the commuter train began slowing down to stop in the Clot-Arago station in Barcelona city.
